Phase 3 ESSENCE Trial Finds Semaglutide Improves Liver Histology in MASH With Fibrosis

This is the first large Phase 3 trial to report semaglutide's effect on liver biopsy outcomes in MASH specifically, rather than on weight or glycemic measures. It moves semaglutide's evidence base for a liver-specific indication from smaller Phase 2 data into a large, randomized, biopsy-confirmed Phase 3 setting -- a materially stronger form of evidence than the Phase 2 trials this compound was previously evaluated on for this indication.

FDA Advisory Panel Narrowly Votes to Recommend BPC-157 for Compounding Access

This is a regulatory-access development, not a scientific or safety finding. A PCAC recommendation determines whether compounding pharmacies may legally prepare a substance -- it is not an FDA approval, and it does not itself establish that BPC-157 is safe or effective for any human use. The vote is advisory only; the FDA is not bound by it and must still issue its own final decision.

Retatrutide TRIUMPH-4 Topline Results Report 28.7% Average Weight Loss in Obesity With Knee Osteoarthritis

TRIUMPH-4 is one of eight pivotal Phase 3 trials in Lilly's TRIUMPH program for retatrutide. This readout is notable both for the reported magnitude of weight loss and because it is the first retatrutide Phase 3 trial to report a musculoskeletal/pain outcome (knee osteoarthritis symptoms) alongside weight loss, rather than a purely metabolic or weight endpoint.
